    Visit Dean Porter Park for their 2nd Annual Pumpkin Patch. The park will have a big selection of pumpkins, plus a photo op and background for kids and families. Admission is FREE.   2. Trunk or Treat

    October 28, 2017, All Day @ Resaca De La Palma State Park

    Trunk or Treat is scare free/family friendly alternative to Trick or Treating. It is a great opportunity for people to enjoy the spirit of #holiday in a safe setting and get free goodies! Trunk or Treat will be held in the parking area of Resaca De La Palma State Park (coinciding Haunted Trails event). Vendors, organizations, members of the community, etc. decorate their cars & pass out candy, play games, etc. The vehicles will be creative and the candy will be free. Costumes are encouraged and family friendly fun will be paramount. If you are interested in reserving a spot for your decorated vehicle, please visit the City of Brownsville Parks & Recreation Department office at 1338 E. 8th Street. You will submit a reservation form, and there is a $10.00 per car fee.   3. Haunted Trails at Resaca De La Palma State Park

    The City of Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department and Resaca de la Palma State Park present “Haunted Trails." This Halloween event has become a holiday tradition in south Texas. Come and "explore the spooky side of nature!" There will be so much to see and do, you do not want to miss it! Enjoy Trunk or Treat, Music, Food, Vendors, Games, Prizes, Inflatables, 2 different Trails, a Pet Costume Contest and so much more! *Gates will open at 5 pm for special needs children and families.
